When the Texas Capitol needed painting in 2010, Carboline’s Carboxane finish was chosen as the best coating to renew and protect the historic structure. Carboline products are widely specified for stadium projects like the Los Angeles Rams SoFi Stadium and international landmarks like the Eiffel Tower. Our options for UV protectant topcoats include polyurethane, polyaspartic, siloxane, and flurorurethane. Each finish coating is designed with specific life expectancy from 15 to 30 years. All finishes are available in gloss and satin sheens. We also offer decorative intumescent fireproofing and resinous flooring.
The commercial market’s surface preparation guidelines for fabrication are generally not as stringent as the industrial market space. Surface tolerant shop coat primers are often required and therefore more regularly utilized. If abrasive blasting is required, we offer soft abrasives, including crushed glass, which leads to a smoother coating finish.
For maintenance applications we recommend tie-coat primers like Rustbond. Our shop can provide necessary tools and equipment for hand-held surface preparation. Engineers and/or architects who design commercial structures generally require mock-ups and demonstrations as part of the project scope. We are familiar with this particular need and work with approved applicators who can meet these commercial painting requirements.
